This 13-syllable poem that takes an old tongue twister and gives it a new slant with even more 'p' alliteration and combines it with a horrible way to go definitely fits that writing prompt! Powerful piece of poetry for perusal. Good luck in that contest!

Rats. I don't know how people win on here unless they are constantly promoting daily work to up over $1.00 each time. I went 9 years between two $100 first place wins.

Sorry, I had to laugh at the subject, before I realized how clever the poem was. I wasn't expecting the Pied Piper to die. Peter Piper who merely picked pickled peppers was wise to stay away from those poison peppers. Best wishes in the contest.

The originator required horror and I thought why not go the poison route like the witch in Snow White?

I don't know whether an alliteration was a requirement of this Friday the thirteenth contest, but 13 syllables were and you've written this impeccably, and the extra spice made this unique, well done, great post, good luck, blessings Roy

I enjoyed the alliteration and the tragic end to this pied piper can all too promptly after he was poisoned with peppers, a fun post for the contest, love Dolly x

Looks like Peter punked out. He went past the point of productivity. Pathetic. your story has fulfilled the requirements of horror and 13 syllables. Good luck.

Horror with a twist and better than Haiku - at least for yours truly.

Hello!

Patrick ponders that your "p" alliteration in this poem is particularly prominent and paints a picture-perfect portrait of the prompt. *grins* Good luck in the contest!
