Hi Jacob, this is such a well written chapter. I'm catching up, I admit it. I've fallen terribly behind. So I won't comment a lot on this well written piece. The story intrigues me. Ulla:)))

It looks like Danielle has learned more than she might have wanted from Max, the only person to have done research about Ian. He had been threatened to drop the case, which was probably from the people in the compound. She find there is DNA present from someone not her family or Ian. So, was there someone else there at the murder? Was there someone who helped, or did it themselves? We are left to wonder.
Once again, great job of building suspense and keeping interest.

Take care,
Rhonda

The Pod caster wasn't a lot of help. It seems people who worked with Ian didn't really know him that well and the police officer didn't seem too reliable The people where Danielle grew up claimed to want to know what happened as well so I don't know why they would threaten the Pod Caster

Your writing has such a strong emotional pull. I was hooked right from the start of this chapter! The way you dive into Danielle's emotions feels so real. I loved the tension between uncovering the truth and dealing with the trauma. The pacing is perfect. I'm excited to see where this mystery leads. Keep up the fantastic work!

This chapter is full of possibilities of what might have happened when Danielle's parents were killed. If there was another person helping Harvey, that would explain how a grown man could have been subdued. If there were teenagers who broke into the house and reported odd things they saw, or if they got arrested with odd injuries, that could be in a police report. I guess Danielle is thinking something about the past will make her feel sick to her stomach more than once, or else she is having a bad digestion day, which is of course more common with girls than boys in general. So that 's a good detail at the end.

So, either Oliver or Jeremiah helped Harvey kill Danielle's parents. They are a cult and were killed because they left. I'm sure Ian talked them into leaving and that's why he was killed. Now, exactly what caused them to leave I don't know. I am wondering if it's not because Oliver wanted to make Daniele his wife. Great read.

Danielle has been warned and she's seen and heard things with her own eyes and ears, but it looks like she won't let loose...like a dog with a bone. I fear she is headed for something bad.
