Such a sweet poem. And such a universal feeling that all doting grandparents can relate to. I just wasn't sure about the use of 'twinkles' in the first line. It may just be a difference in where we live but in the UK we'd say there's a twinkle in someone's eye rather than use the plural, and it made me pause and think about it rather than just getting on and enjoying the poem - which was very enjoyable otherwise.

Beautiful! My grandsons are grown and making their own way now and my kids are knocking on the doors of midlife. I don't miss the struggles of raising our children, but I miss that wonder of their beginnings. Wonderful poem. Thanks for sharing it. Have a great week and stay well.
