AMEN! Yes, God left us as stewards of the Earth, and we have made a mess of it all. I'm sure God is not happy. Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. Good luck with the contest.

Pollution is the negative result of man's innovation.
Just as we innovate, maybe we can innovate a solution for pollution (soon).
Your poem is nicely written and good luck with it.

Thank you artisart4u. I am getting quite forgetful these days so l may previously have sent a reply to you. lf not my apologies and my thanks to you for the exceptional 6 star rating. l note that there is an extra letter 'l' in the title Pollution, pollution, which is due to poor eyesight. My apologies for that, too.

I usually see these errors, I guess I didn't look close enough. I just saw a bunch of "l,s" and assumed it was ok.
The six stars are still yours.

THANK YOU, JENINTORRE. It appears that an extra letter 'l' was put in the first word of the title. I apologise for that. It is the result of my thick old fingers pressing down on my laptop keyboard and escaping my notice during editing. I appreciate your comments and high rating. Thank you.

This is a popular rant these days. But I don't think it's fair to place all the blame on governments and companies; after all, we vote these people in, and we use the products these companies make. Everyone bears a responsibility for keeping our world a place worth living in. I try to do my best to keep my footprint down, but unless we get back to horses and simple tools and cranking up water by hand, I'm afraid we're stuck with it. And I can't see many people giving up their cars, their air conditioners, their washing machines and pumps. estory

Thank you for your review and rating. You are correct that we did vote these people in but on the understanding that they would act responsibly for the benefit of the nation as a whole. Neglecting climate change and ignoring the disasters which are already occurring more frequently is a betrayal of all of us,including those selfish people who only consider their own personal comforts and forget the impact on future generations.

I thought your poem captured the frustration surrounding pollution with a powerful voice. I'm impressed by how effectively you convey the gravity of the situation and the emotional impact it has on all of us. Great job highlighting such an important issue with such passion!

We are stewards of the planet Earth, and our leadership has fallen down completely on this issue. What a wonderfully written poem. Good luck in the contest! Have a great day, and God bless.

It really does make me angry that governments don't want to act on climate change. I always try to do my bit to help cut my carbon footprint, but I sometimes wonder what difference it's really making. A well written piece.

You are correct. It does need all countries, and particularly those industrial nations that continue to use fossil fuels, to play their part in reducing pollution as much as they can. No doubt it will effect economic growth short term but the alternative means severe damage to the environment and the human race. My best wishes to you with thanks for the rating and comments.
