another good one. The boy's father - sounds like a jerk, and the teacher - am going to assume he's gay and is attacking boys or a boy at the school, and it sounds like he may be trying with Waylon. I hope you get him!

As Dougie says later on, Tomlin is gay but he's not one of the cool ones. Tomlin is a creep and when he figures out Dougie is back in town, all hell will break loose. Thank you for this great review. Gretchen

This is a good line a good concept a good image a good scenario to dry the reader in; Waylon grimaces. "Pull past him." the plot thickens: "Switch to decaf, you-," I'm about to lay into him when I happen to see Waylon, standing frozen behind him. The look on his face is warning me to put the car in drive and leave." The last line is a bit of a foreshadowing are we to sit forward to see if he tries to take Dougie?

You never know what Dougie is going to do or how it will affect Waylon or Miranda. Thank you for this nice review. Gretchen

Shes more frightened that he's back for Waylon than she is angry. Anger will come later. Thank you for this. Gretchen

I suddenly realize I've missed some of these. Somehow, I didn't catch on to the fact that these are all NEW Miranda. I apologize for being so slow on the uptake.

Well, I loved it; I've missed Miranda very much, so this is wonderful. And did I miss the conclusion of Coyote Boys when I was gone last weekend? I'll check that out, too, while I'm at it!!

I'm excited to have Miranda back in my life...even if that does mean it's including Dougie, too. He is quite the louse, isn't he! xoxo

You're exactly right, Dougie is a louse. He's here and going to cause nothing but trouble. Thank you for this. And yes, The Coyote Boys are done. Gretchen

I enjoy reading about Miranda and always eager to read what happens next in her Chronicles. Congratulations on your story being recognized and having a ribbon to show for writing such good stuff for us all to read.

The worst thing that can happen to Miranda is for Dougie to come back. She loves Waylon and doesn't want to give him up. I wonder what the reporter wants and what is up with the lemon-sucking teacher that Dougie seems to fear.

She is definitely worried he's here to pluck Waylon away. Thanks, Carol. Gretchen

I like Miranda already. She's no one's fool and isn't one to let herself get walked on. Lemonface was rude to her and thinks he's won, but Miranda isn't just going to let that slide. And she doesn't succumb to Dougie when he calls her. She seems to understand people pretty well and has good intuitions. This is starting out well, Gretchen.

Thank you, Jim. Miranda is my alter ego. Lol. She says the things I harbor in my mind. Glad you enjoyed this. Gretchen

Miranda's becoming clucky, Waylon is important to her, he's the child she never had, anyway Dougie certainly doesn't deserve to be a father, and he's certainly not a dad, I think all kids deserve parent who their welfare at heart, beautifully written Gretchen, blessings Roy

Thank you. But she knows if he wants Waylon back, no court would stop him. Thank you, Roy. Gretchen

Good seeing Miranda back. Wondering how the Dougie thing is gonna work out, especially with Waylon. And the new creepy teacher! Also MIssy, now Dougie is showing up alive and well.

Missy wasn't convicted of anything in relation to Dougie or his disappearance. Missy might be able to call from jail but she can't come back to town. Thankfully. Thank you for this. Gretchen

Waylon's dad, Dougie, sounds like ass... i hope Miranda puts him in his place. Poor Waylon. I like Rita. There's always a Rita at work. I wonder what will happen next.

Dougie is self absorbed. He only worries about Dougie. Thank you so much. Gretchen
