I thought this a good, creative entry into the contest. Covid certainly did a number on the planet, and your personification of it as a villain is a perfect way to explain its insidious nature.

Wishing you great luck with the voters. :)

Thank you for the six stars. I'm sorry it took so long to reply, but life gets in the way at times.

This is an excellent entry for the contest. I hope this thing gets a bit weaker each time it tries to escape by changing identies. I haven't worried about it for a while. I don't like wearing masks or being confined.

Thank you. I'm sorry it took so long to reply. Covid is getting stronger again. Several folks are in the hospital in my home town.

This was a great entry for the "No One Can See Me" contest. I loved the way you had COVID describe themself. Your story was unsettling, which is a good thing because it means you got a reaction from the reader. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Thank you. Covid is still on the loose and might be for quite some time.

An enjoyable read that kept this reader wanting more and a clue of where the pest was going next.
Very good sensory details and good flow and pace.
Thank you for sharing and good luck.

This story, The Invader, gives voice to the infamous pandemic star which terrorized the world for a year or so. One day we'll jail the governors who allowed their states to be vehicles for death to travel.

Thank you. I agree. There was no reason for COVID-19 to become so widespread. It's still around.

I like this one! I like the idea of not being able to see an entity with such immense power. The only disappointment is that it's pretty easy to figure out right away what it is. In the third paragraph, when the whole world is terrified, it's getting obvious. I wish there were a way to drag out the suspense, but I can't think of what it might be.
Well written!

Thank you. I knew it would be easy to figure out who the villain was. It was hard to do it any other way.

Very well done. You have used an original slant onthe topic, and everything you say, with your personification of Covid, is very true. Best wishes for your entry.

I guessed the outcome, having suffered personal loss, personal effects, and seen recurring cases of Covid in my residence. How I hate that disease! Thank you for a great entry!

Thank you. I'm sorry you suffered because of Covid. I lost my older sister to the disease, too. She was in a nursing home, and we couldn't even be with her when she died.

That is so terrible! I wish I could have said "good-bye" at lest to my wife. t least I told her I love her each day.

I loved how chilling you made this piece, and I was able to guess early on that this was COVID, as I was reading. You did a great job of really pulling me in by the voice and I was hooked on every word. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you. I knew most folks would figure out what I was referring to before the end. It made an interesting story.

Very clever. Really first rate. Halfway through I suspected, but you lead us where you wanted us to go just the same. I have some pretty bluebird pictures for you. Karen
