This halibun, With a Heavy Heart, has the proper formatting and notes the visitation of the dearly departed's family who come to express their undying devotion.

This is very well written, and I enjoyed it very much. I enjoyed the fact that you give us basic instructions on how to write this format, which is the best explanation I have ever received at the format. Have a good day and a very good week. God bless you. Patricia.

I am a fan of Haibun, and this one certainly didn't disappoint. This is excellent. The description and the pace are wonderful. Thank you for sharing it with us.

This is a particularly stunning Haiburn, Gypsy, and haven't you used alliteration and metaphor to its full advantage! You skilfully capture that scene of mourning in succinct and moving verse. Well done! Debbie

I rather like the haibun, but many write a more chatty a extensive prose part, when the ones I remember short, sharp, economic prose lines, with the haiku, beautifully written, blessings Roy

Loved your haibun! Your poetic prose led right up to the summary of the haiku at the end. It describes grieving at the heart and soul level.

Questions:
warp-and-waft (warp-and-weft?)
and wooed by hauling wind (howling?)

It sounds that is person is looking at her own funeral in retrospect of the life she leaves behind. It is a sad and yet beautiful poem that filed my imagination with several interpretations. Thanks for posting.

I love a haibun. You are incredibly gifted with your writing. I flew through my sixes like a drunken sail in Port. This deserves nothing less than a six. It was beautiful, moody, somewhat mysterious. Beautifully written. Gretchen

A slightly cryptic Haibun, adorned with some wonderful imagery and festooned with emotive words. I am struck in particular by 'warp-and-waft woes' (although I suspect it should be 'weft' rather than waft and also the 'hauling wind' at the end which cleverly suggests the wind's power and also leads us to the sound of howling.

A very beautiful, though mournful piece.
