You must have all the boxes unpacked and put away because I notice you are back to posting regularly, which is great. Well, unless you're just putting off the inevitable for a later date so you can play online. LOL.
Thanks for sharing.

I have the muse on me. and I cannot do much at a time. I wore myself out with the move and now my body reminds me constantly that I am not in charge. It is rather rude about it. Karen

Good job with this, Karen. Another twisty bit of treacherous behavior by your main characters who are con artists, philanderers, and reprobates.
I'm just a little confused about who is who because of your frequent use of the pronoun "they." I wasn't always sure who "they" were. It could have been any combination of Tony, Charlie, and Reggie. I just wasn't sure.
Perhaps if you make this a little clearer, I would have a complete understanding of the story.
It's very easy for an author to fall into this trap when it is so clear in your own mind who is who, but when you self-edit, you must assume the stance of your readers and make sure it will be clear to them.
I learned how to do this as a systems analyst because I had to prepare documentation to explain my system designs to my users, and they weren't very tech savvy. I think that's also why my fiction-writing style may seem a bit wordy at times because it's hard to break the habit of trying to be extremely clear so that people can't misinterpret your intentions. That usually requires using more words rather than fewer.
But it does help those of us (including moi) who tend to be a little thick at times to figure out what's going on.

I edited. checked it out. I do forget that you do not know what is in my head. You are winning so far, But most people only have one vote, prbably their own. Most people did not even follow the rules. :-(
-
Much better. Now I know who "they" are.
-
Just for you sweetie. :-)
-
I thank you. Are you up for good now? I do find when I'm up this early, I need a nap later in the day.
-
y hours are odd. I am about due for a nap. I toold my aspirin and ate my half ruben sandwich with two polish pickle spears. I could eat that stuff all day. Karen
-
Ooo. Now you've gotten me hungry. I had a great breakfast yesterday at Cracker Barrel but could only eat half. I think I'll go eat the other half now.
I'm still planning to try those tacos sometime at, was it Popeye's Chicken?
-
Ha ha Jack in the box taco's
Karen
-
Rats. I'll have to find one on my travels. None around here.

Hello Karen, what is the saying- what a tangled web we weave when we practice to deceive- or something like that. Why bother to get married at all if the whole idea is to mess around? I can see where it would open a door for the lady, but why even expose your riches to someone who could legally have half anyway? Your characters are always so flawed morally. I wish that in real life justice happened as fast as it does in your stories. Thanks for sharing this gal.
Have a blessed day.

In my fictional world courts would not be clogged. When a verdict is rendered it is performed. Rape, lose your dick. Hurt a women or child, or man whatever you do to them will be visited upon you. Steal ( unless it is to feed your family) you will lose everything you have. alcohol and drugs are legal inside your house or clubs for that purpose. However, behave badly in public or otherwise and it is a year of detox for you no meds. I am pragmatic. Karen

Thank you, I love creating names. Sometimes it is the name which drives the story. Hurley Colson would not be a wealthy banker now would he? And Winston Stanford Allbright would not be picking cotton. Karen

You know how to be sure your "ladies" get all the money. At least in this one the guys don't have to die. They just become much poorer and probably not a whole lot wiser.

Do they ever get wiser? I haven't seen a lot of that myself. No one dies in the next two. Karen

First off, I want to wish you a wonderfully blessed Birthday, Karen. I hope this day finds you with much joy and love from your family and friends.
Wow! This woman has a plan, and she executes it nicely. She says she'll miss him but not for long. Nicely done.
God bless,
Steve

Thank you very much. I hope you are putting your feet up today. I am a writing fiend lately. Maybe because I am getting more order in my home. Karen

I have been, for the most part. I had the doctor's appointments, and I still have the cardiologist tomorrow. I've been trying to play catch up on reviews and napping a bit, lol.
I'm sure it was nice to be able to write now that you're getting settled in.

gotta go, hearts to break, people to murder, you know, the usual. :-)

Lol! Nothing to see here, folks; just keep walking.

Okay...so I got here late and let the smart reviewers help you with a few edits. Clever me! I got to sit back and marvel at your female characters who somehow always get the upper hand then those darn men are two-timing! Three cheers for strong independent women!

Some folks get the idea I don't like men. Silly boys. I just don't want to live them, or take care of them, and cannot trust them, that's all. Karen
-
Oh? I never would have guessed! LoL...
-
I might let them take me out to dinner, but it would be somewhat good and they are paying. :-)

She has almost a foolproof plan, but it seems all plans have a fault somewhere. I bet this one does too. LOL I enjoyed reading. You told a good story.
You can call me there if you ever get done fixing his latest pile of mess." "And you can cancel all the arrangements too." (no clue why there's a set of quotation marks in the middle: 'latest pile of mess." "And')
Isn't that true, She asked?" (true?" she asked.)
"Yes honey, but this is different, this is family," He said. (he said.)
"You told me I was your family," She said rather hard. (she said...)
And,the fact that he slanders (space after the comma)

I thought I was done editing. I think i already fixed one or two of these. I will go check. Thanks for helping. Karen

She is definitely not a woman to mess with! I noticed one typo.
Isn't that true, She asked?" move the quotation marks to after the word TRUE and uncapitalize the word SHE.
Thanks for sharing.

Okay. here are some of my guesses: Reginald Owen, Reginald Denny, Rex Harrison, Harrison Ford, "My Antonia", Scarlett O'Hara. Scarlett Johanson, "The Love Boat", The Albacore Club from "Chinatown, Chase Winstead (a character in "Giant Gila Monster") or Chase Masterson (a bad b-actresss).. Of course, I knew you'd have your vengeful touch at the end. Keep it up! I love your tales and love guessing games.

rex harrison's real entire name and I thought chase masterson was a hoot on Star Trek Deep Space Nine :-)
-
I didn't see her on that series. I have a cheap b-movie thriller that she was in.
-
I really haven't seen her in anything since Star Trek Deep Space nine. The ones that act with their chest, seem to age out rather swiftly. :-)
-
That's true. I cannot even remember the film's name. Something like "Specimen Unknown". Very forgettable.
-
I couldn't find it in wikepedia at all. Karen
-
I was in error in the title. The movie was "Creature Unknown". in college for fun I made a super-8 movie, terrible, called "The Creature Attacks" and snuck it into a film showing at Yale.
-
How ever did you manage that?
