Absolutely amazing work here. Your words have painted such a vivid image and really paint the picture of every emotion you were feeling. You pulled us right into every nail biting moment of insecurity to every joyous feeling of letting it all go and being accepted and adored by another. Even a true account needs colourful language and you gave us just the right amount of it. You balanced on that tightrope of storytelling wonderfully. Truth or fiction, this is a wonderful piece and beautifully written. Great work. Thanks for sharing.

Todd,
Thank you so much for such a kind review! I really wanted to capture sting of insecuriy and the wonder I felt when that insecurity was challenged. I couldn't believe it was happening, and I knew I had to write about it! I'm happy to hear you say I did a great job painting an image of what I was feeling!
Additionally, it's great to hear that I had just the right amount of colorful language. As I'm sure you've noticed, sometimes I get a bit carried away with my figurative language and descriptions. I greatly enjoy writing figurative language and descriptions, and sometimes I run a little TOO wild with them haha. It's a tightrope I've always teetered on, and I'm glad to hear that this time I didn't fall off of it.
Thank you sooo much for taking the time to read my work, and for leaving such a nice review. I genuinely and wholeheartedly appreciate it.
I hope you have a wonderful day.
Best wishes,
Keely

What an encouraging, heartwarming story. I am the opposite of you. Once upon a time, I knew that the opposite sex was drawn to me. As I've aged, however, I feel the way you use to. I think who would want me? I have nothing to offer anyone. What a terrible mindset to have.
I am so glad that the mirror shattered for you and that someone saw in you what you didn't.
Well-written. Thank you for sharing.

Hi!
Oh my goodness! Seeing your 6 star review made my day! I'm so glad you liked my piece!
I gotta say, I know you said you struggle with self-confidence now, but gosh, you're so pretty!
Seeing our self-worth is very difficult sometimes, but at the end of the day that's just the fun of being human. I too am glad someone shattered the mirror for me.
Thank you again for taking the time to read my piece and for leaving a review.
Best wishes,
Keely

A wonderful story. We all have fantasies of what we should do or be or look like or act in life, but most are just that - a fantasy. He saw so much more, what was behind the smile, the words, the eyes, and that is what caught his attention. True beauty is inside and that you had in endless quantity. I don't know if this is fiction or memoir, but the meaning is the same. Well done. Good luck in the contest and stay well.

Keely,
I love your story! How eloquently you write about this mystery man. I felt like a third wheel most of my life, my two girlfriends were beauty queens, while I was really ordinary. They always got to dance, while I sometimes spent school dances standing there without a clue.
Your photo is beautiful!
Good luck with this tryst.
Best wishes,
Cindy. You have my vote

This is an excellent story that contributes to the betterment of all relationships. Nearly 100% of the human race sees areas concerning their own personal limitations and formulate biases against themselves. With this story you remind us that, although we may feel inadequate, it doesn't mean that we are not attractive to someone else who happens to be attractive to us. Self-esteem is an area of personal struggle that can be overcome. Thanks for doing your part with this wonderful creative narrative.

This is wonderful! Your story is so heartfelt. The way you share how you went from self doubt to finding love is so moving. I love how you capture the contrast between your initial insecurities and the joy of discovering that someone special sees you in a way you never imagined. Well written and so enjoyable to read.
