This is completely wacky and right up my street! It almost deserves a sequel with this pair of 90 degree nose-whistling soul mates, Repugnant and Repulsive. Well done for inventiveness and off-the-wall imagination:)) Good luck! Debbie

I love your fairytale and I am going to vote for it. I found it funny from the beginning to the end. One of the morals of your fairytale that came to me was the moral that there is somebody for everybody. What may be a disability with denial for somebody may bring tranquility and a smile for somebody else. You got my vote

Lol. What an imaginative story. You told it so very well, and I am glad it ended happily for both and that they realised there were indeed some advantages in being a little different. Very well done. Best wishes for the contest.

You put a very creative spin that that old fairytale. I like how you showed us two young people who were not afraid to keep working on improving themselves despite all the strikes against them. Best wishes in the contest!

I love the use of juxtaposition here: "only the witch thought the maiden's nose was much more magnificent than her own, so she imprisoned her to keep her out of sight," Your play on words is effective. "called her Repugnant." this is so excellent I have to give it an A+. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Oh, I wish I had a six! This was absolutely hilarious and entertaining. Poor Rapunzel has lost her spot in fairytale land to Repugnant and Repulsive and the witch has met her match. Quite the humor! A great entry for the contest.

This is hilarious, inventive and I enjoyed the read. It is about time we embraced something ugly in life as we live in a world where we are all supposed to be pretty to get on. I thoroughly enjoyed this post, good luck with the contest, love Dolly x

Nice, happy, & silly, my 3 bears is going over like a lead balloon. You never know what people will like, do you? Unpacking occupies most of my time. Karen :-)

Bravo! I loved this delightful retelling of Repunzel. Especially creative is the names Repugnant and Repulsive. I smiled when I read the songs the Young married couple sang. Great job. Best wishes in the contest.

Love love love this!
Your story is a charming and imaginative fairy tale with a delightful twist. The playful and detailed descriptions of the characters, especially their unique traits and the humorous resolution, make it engaging and entertaining. The progression from the maiden's initial predicament to the whimsical ending with the pub and new wave songs is creative and well-developed.

There are some areas that could be improved with punctuation edit.

Here are two examples
1. "She skipped around her circular room, singing 'Zippity Doo Dah' and other perky songs." (Added single quotes around the song title.)
2. "Repugnant couldn't believe her ears; she raced to the window, leaned out, and stared down at the young man." (Replaced comma with a semicolon for correct clause separation.)
