She was indeed a wonderful gift from God, a miracle child. Your joy must have been exquisite once you held her safely within your arms. And all those puppies. Dear husband he meant well, bless his heart, and while dogs are a wonderful source of comfort, they don't replace the joy of a child. Best wishes for your entry.

Dear Wendy,
Thank you for the beautiful review, I truly appreciate it! Yes, puppies are only a temporary substitute for the love a child.
Have a beautiful day,

I too believe in the power of miracles. My son had a skull fracture at 4 months old and we were told that he had very little chance of survival. We were even told to get a priest and have him baptized. Then a neurosurgeon told me that he knew of an experimental operation that might save his life.... And it did! I am so happy for you and your husband that your miracle came true.

Dear Carol,
Oh, my goodness, I am so happy that the surgery worked for your son. Yes, miracles happen every day if we choose to acknowledge them.
Happy writing,
Teri W.

You have a strong, heartwarming story. I think there are a few things you could do to make it better, if you want to. I think many readers would wonder why you want another child if you already have more than one. It would be a simple fix to put in a sentence saying that you felt another child was to be born to you. I also think that each event that made this birth look impossible could be listed paragraph by paragraph so that there is a buildup, especially if each of those paragraphs is structured exactly the same way. I hope these suggestions are useful. Your story is important.

Dear Sharon,

This is a well written story describing horrifying experiences during pregnancy. You were openly honest about what you were thinking and feeling, which allowed the reader to envision hearing your doctor's disappointing explanations.
During my first pregnancy, I experienced amniotic fluid leaking and kept running to the bathroom thinking it was urine. I went to the hospital, but my outcome was not good.
I'm glad your story had a very happy ending with a beautiful little girl. I wish you the best in the contest.

Dear LJ Butterfly,
Thank you for your excellent rating; I genuinely appreciate it. I am sad to hear that your first pregnancy did not have a good outcome. We never know what life has in store for us.
However, I assume you eventually had another pregnancy with a joyful outcome.
Many blessings,
Teri W.

An excellent entry for the Share Your Story contest. That is one of the most amazing things I've ever heard. How blessed you are to have a healthy child after all of that. Thank you for sharing.

Dear Marilyn,
Thank you for the excellent review of my Miracle Baby's story. Putting words to my feelings about what happened over 21 years ago brought me back there. It was bittersweet, but a blessing to share it with all of my peers here.
I look forward to reading some of your work as well.

Thank you Jessi for your excellent review!
I am pleased that you enjoyed my story and that it was inspiring. My little bundle of joy is now 21 years old, but writing my story on paper brought back all of the emotions once more.
Many blessings to you and your family,
Teri W.

What a beautiful story. If this review has typos I'm sorry I'm sorry tears are literally blurring my vision. I was born 3 months early and ended up with cerebral palsy but I'm alive and have a wonderful life so I believe in miracles. Happy writing!
