I loved how you told this in a few short words, although I think you have this saved as a story, rather than as a poem. I thought the emotion came through really strongly though. Good luck in the contest.

Hi, Only time you don't NeedGunner Lil

This looks like a good entry for the contest. Good luck with that!!

Why did you make the title devil or angel when she has a halo so obviously she's an angel

I suppose there are bad angels that work for Satan, but I don't think they have halos. They might have them just to confuse people.

I would retitle it, my angel or something like that

I enjoyed reading your poem

Good job. Thank you for sharing.

Well, that's the question, huh? Devil or angel, this must've been a strikingly beautiful lady, in your eyes, to leave such an impression! It's nice that you could feel your heart go pitter patter. That you're not walled-off from your emotions. Now, if it's a red or white halo- that's also maybe partly on you?! A great post! Maddy

Your lines capture a lovely moment with a simple yet evocative image. The idea of seeing a halo above someone is quite poetic and gives a sense of admiration or enchantment. The phrase "My heart went pitter patter" effectively conveys a fluttering, emotional response.

This love poem, Devil or Angel, uses the fifteen words to describe the person whose visage reminds the poet of all that is heaven and all that can be sullied.

The speaker could be drawn to danger. We're learning a bit about the personality of the speaker but it's very well done. The speaker is very alert and seems to be run to spiritual angles. You keep the reader leaning forward.

Men love the innocence of women as they can sometimes be predatory. I enjoyed the romance and love in your words here, a fine post for the prompt, love Dolly x

I'm wondering why this is a love POEM entry when it's in the stories section? It's not a story either; well, maybe the shortest flash fiction I've ever seen!

I'm thinking you've fallen for a devil of a woman here:-)

Good luck.

This made me read your words twice and smile. There is a feeling of excitement/dread in that you are not sure what's making your heart race. A fun love poem.

Hmmm... red eyes. Red halo. Blue lips...

Can't wait to meet her and talk face to face in a slow dance. Intriguing, Exciting. I can see how ones heart will do the pitter - patter...

Best of luck in the contest.

Cheers,
John
