Thank you for the reminder of our Lord's great sacrifice. It always upsets me to read about the trial and torture and crucifixion of our Lord. But He did it to save all of us.

When I was little, I remember singing The Old Rugged Cross, with my dad. I still get chills when I hear it. Got chills when you mention it in your poem. I will never forget the ultimate gift we have been given. Gretchen

Many of the modern "Bible Versions" omit the verses about the Blood of Christ. Many of the Old hymns glorify this but not so much in contemporary Christian songs. It is only by His Blood that we are saved.
