I can't help but worry that she has not enough power behind her to win. You wrote with feeling. I sure needed a break from my unpacking. I swear to you the unpacked boxes doubled while I was asleep.
I have found a few things I forgot I had. That's always nice. Well, back to the grindstone. Karen :-)

I went from Houston, Texas to Plano, Texas which is 30 minutes away. My twin sisters live here and my older sister lives in Dallas. I am a happy camper. Tired, and achy all over, but happy.:-)

So the American voter loses a nominee who cannot form a complete sentence and replaces him with her because she is a woman, black, with a twist of Asian (how she do that?), who speaks a language unlearned in schools as if she speaks dyslexically. And you add her as a Caribbean and Hindu nominee, too. The best thing that can happen to American politics is for California to secede and become an independent nation.

Overall, the poem effectively communicates a deep sense of pride and joy regarding Kamala Harris's achievements and her connection to the speaker's own background. The personal touch and celebratory tone make it a heartfelt tribute.

To enhance the poem's flow and clarity, consider organizing it into distinct stanzas that group related thoughts together. For example:

Stanza 1:
The news
that Biden
was stepping down,
throwing his support
for Kamala Harris
as President,
filled me with joy
and anticipation.
