Ciao mystery poet! you now have three votes .

Many entries describe envy and not jealousy in their poem. You not only got it right but your story described it in detail.

Jealousy is all about losing something we have .. like the husband in your tale..doubt, suspicion, and mistrust a key elements.

I just wanted to advise you that your poem is missing. You need to check out the print.

I'm going to give it 5 just the same , I love the artwork !

Looking forward to reading your poem!

Best of luck!

Hi

This looks like a good entry for the contest. Good luck with that!!

I found this poem, lovely, even though it had violence and jealousy

At the end, you imply that they might've both been innocent. He was just a postman that had struck up a friendship with her

Maybe talking first is a better idea. Find out what's really going on. It's possible that his wife is not in love with him anymore, but that doesn't mean the postman is screwing her.

It seems like you care about meter you write poetry like I do in iambic pentameter with h right syllables

This line breaks that pattern. It is only seven syllables, and it starts with a hard syllable where the others start with a soft syllable. I think if you just put I'm in front of wondering

" wondering what I might see"

Same here

" stepping out on nimble feet"

And here

" Heading for my oak front door,"

And another

" robbing each one of their life."

Just ignore me if you don't care about meter. It's just that most of the time was impeccably metered and rhymed. I commend you for that not many people can loop
do that.

I enjoyed reading your poem

Good job. Thank you for sharing.

This is a well-crafted poetic tale. Good job with the rhyme scheme. The story flowed nicely, and I like the personal first-person point of view. But, although the ending was predictable, I'm not sure the emotion highlighted was jealousy.

Good luck in the contest.
