Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. I perfect not having all that technology. I'm old fashioned. I enjoyed reading and want to wish you luck with the contest.

Hi Zanya,
I guess the global network was in chaos the other day. It didn't affect us very much here in Saint John, New Brunswick. And I don't rely on all the gizmos that are available these days, just my computer. I'm old school. But I wouldn't want to be traveling anywhere when a glitch pulverizes the system. We are spoiled, aren't we?
I enjoyed your entry in the 75-word Flash Fiction. Not an easy contest! Alexa, where were you???
Good Luck with it!
Hugs,
Kimbob

This made me laugh. We're so tied to our electronic devices that I wonder what would happen if the grid shut down. The peace and quiet might be rehabilitating. Good luck in the contest and stay well.

Your 75 word fiction effectively conveys a sense of disorientation and frustration. The opening line with honking horns immediately placed me in a specific, relatable setting. Nicely written. Good luck for the contest. - Terry

This seventy-five-word story, Blue Screen, has the proper formatting and reminds us that all the technology has become a part of our lives. Thank God for the analog items which keep us grounded and sane.

It would be indeed a dystopia. We are so used to our various gadgets that life seems impossible without them.
Thank God for grandma's clock!
Good luck in the contest.

I like your use of personification. There seems to be some anachronistic description here also. And I would say also juxtaposition. You may not realize it but you are using many literary techniques. Good summary.

Lol. Yes - some would feel totally lost without a screen to rule their lives and tell them when to wake up etc! It didn't affect my computer, phone, or screen at all. (Was that fortunate or not?) Best wishes for your entry.

We don't even realize how much white noise our digital paraphenelia distributes until it's no longer there. And then the silence is deafening. It's been quite the chaotic day without our cyber-needs being met! Will we be smart enough to have a Plan B in place for next time?

Very thought-provoking write! Good luck with it in the 75 Words Flash Fiction!! xoxo
