I really like poem. we often associate rain with sadness, but it is also essential for life.
Sunshine brings joy; but too much brings disaster.
I like the way you use these two weather elements to make a great point.

Hello Nomi,
Man, you sure hit the nail on the head. I know from personal experience from still living on the farm that I was born on way back in 1945.
I've raised tobacco, corn, sugar cane, hay and about every kind of vegetable you can think of for many years now. And with that sunshine and rain you so elegantly write about I've managed to have more good years than bad.
Without the grace of God shining down on me and my family with all that sunshine and rain, things would have been much harder than what they were at times.
Thanks, my friend, for reminding me to be more greatful to our Creator for all the many blessings He has bestowed on me throughout all these years.

NOMI338, this straight forward poem, put things in perspective--- the balance of sun and rain to sustain human lives. Of course, we humans have screwed up the environment. If only we take care of what is provided instead of destroying it. Thank you for sharing.

Yes that is for sure, Nomi. We certainly need both. To little rain is bad and too much is bad as well. We have a lot of drought here in Spain due to a complexed weather system. Ulla:)))

We have the blessed promise from God that he will never again use such things as a flood or a drought to destroy the human family.

It's amazing how we as humans rely on God's daily mercies and gifts yet whine at the first inconvenience. Most of the times we are spoiled and ungrateful. I love when it rains, when it's chilly and even when it's hot. I didn't used to but I made a vow a couple of years ago. I will enjoy every season.
