This is a wonderful story of various characters as they face the end of grandmother's life. Their true nature's are revealed when they are outside the dying woman's room. Fortunately, a devoted grandson is willing to listen to the wisdom she wants to impart.

Oh dear, Noah, that's not very respectful! But very funny after all that grandmotherly advice from such a sweet old lady! Well done and good luck in the contest! A strong contender. Take care Debbie

I guess you may have met the challenge though I was thinking when first read the instructions that it would be our own passing words we mutter before leaving our frame behind.

Thanks so much--it did say fiction, but my dying character does speak what I would say if I were dying.

I enjoyed reading your story... such a beautiful death! How true that we rarely appreciate the blessings around us. Noah was given a great gift of her final words. Thank you for this story.

Bravo. Thank you so much for sharing this piece. I recall almost going through the same scenario as a kid when my uncle left us. Definitely a nice piece of work.

Those were some wonderful last words. I liked this bit of fiction you crafted here. It makes me ponder my own mortality, which means it touched me, so that's good. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.
