I am not normally a reader of religious writings. However, I did relate to your story, and it is clear how far we have strayed from the teachings of Jesus Christ and the disciples.
Greed has crept into every part of our communities and those who wish to control, play on that greed to pursue their own agenda.

Well thank you for reading something you normally wouldn't. Aside from poetry, I also rarely read religious writing. This is actually my devotions and I figured if I posted it I would be more likely to do it regularly.

This is an accurate and eloquently written account of the early church and its leaders and the importance of knowing God personally through His Holy Spirit. It sickens me when, instead of evoking God's name, more time is spent in Presidental debates calling each other liars. Although, and forgive me if you don't agree, I believe Trump is closer to God on issues.

Excellent teaching.
I too, experienced many church revivals. Most were powerful and effective. Many were merely the occupation of the evangelist and an opportunity for a local ministry to profit.
