Thank you so much Eugene. I'm so happy you like it. I truly enjoy writing the traditional forms of poetry and including meter and rhymes as tools in the process. So appreciate you, my friend.

Ciao Sugarray,
congratulations on your win!
After a hectic day I find peace walking in my pine forest .
Reading a book in the shade of an old oak tree works too for many.
Our ancestors were initially trees dwellers
that's why being in contact with Mother Nature soothes our body, mind and soul. It's home.

You did a beautiful job on this Kyrielle poem. You have given me the desire to try to write one myself. I love the feeling your poem gives. Relaxes, quiet, easy...all the things your poem describes is what it gives off in the reading of it. Your repetitive line is perfect and really drew me in. Nicely done.

This piece is wonderful and so relatable. I particularly like your repeating line, 'where time is slow and life reclines'. I feel that need acutely.
One suggestion to consider: The word 'place' is repeated three times--maybe switch out one or two of them. Maybe 'spot' or 'seat' or 'space'?
Overall, it is a lovely poem. Thank you for sharing and best wishes in the contest.

Your poem captures the yearning for a peaceful sanctuary amidst the chaos of daily life with a wonderful rhythm and such soothing imagery. The repetition of "where time is slow and life reclines" works so well. It emphasizes the tranquility found in nature. The descriptions of sunlight, old pines, and shady trees are perfect. You do a great job of painting a picture with your words.
