Is there anything more beautiful and more uplifting than the first signs of Spring when the birds get busy and start to sing = its a superb pic to illustrate

Ciao mystery poet, you now have 4 votes.
There is something so vitalising waking up to birds singing especially in Spring.
It's a sign that nature is awakening after a long cold winter.
Soon the swallows will be back and the air will be filled with blossom scent.

Tomorrow I'll probably regret helping you when your poem wins and mine comes in last. But I like yours better. However, I'd make one subtle change in line 2:
Wings
FLAPPING as songbirds sing
Spring
You'll get that internal rhyme from ING and the poem will read smoother aloud. Rod

Thanks for your review and suggestions! Do you mean to capitalize the word 'flapping?'
-
No, but you could. I used all caps just to bring the word to your attention.
-
Oh okay. Thanks for the suggestion!
-
Lovely! I think you?ve got a winner.

Thank you!

I think this was a great entry for the 1-6-1 writing prompt. You got the syllable count and rhyming right. I liked your mental image of a songbird flapping. The picture you supplied was great, as well. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.
