This Father's Day story touches on the very meaning of the relationship between a dad and his kids. It doesn't matter if there is a father, if he isn't involved with the children.

Death sucks all the way around but I have to agree that this was a good death.
Well done with this interesting story. Forgiveness is important.

Thank you, Douglas, for your review. But as one of my clients so aptly put it, "It isn't death that I dread. It's dying that I fear."

typo -- "...marriedÃ? a man of another race"
Geez, Louise, must you always squeeze my heart so, Bill? (LOL) What a wonderful story! I am not surprised at all.

i miss you, Dawn. I'm just not here very much. I'm hustling two books at the same time: A New Way to Hope which is having a renewal because of its awards and now Teachable Moments.
Thanks for the review and I can't seem to delete that A figure.!

Author, this is an awesome story, and befitting the spirit of Father's Day.
It reminds the reader we should clear our souls, and be forgiving in life. Your story tells that even in the last minutes of one's life, forgiving and healing are possible.
Great story.
Good luck with this and all your writing.

I note this is non-fiction. What rare and precious things forgiveness and reconciliation can be. You have brought out the full poignancy of the event in your writing. Congratulations.

What a great non-fiction piece. What a great resolution.
My story is similar in reverse. My dad hung on a very long time in Hospice. Soon after I forgave him for issue long past, he passed away.

Thank you for sharing this heartwarming story with us. I enjoyed reading. This is a beautiful story, needing to be read by many.
as if something terribly wrong had happened. When asked if everything was okay, he (space needed after the period)
he said that her brother was keeping her apprised of his status but she didn't want to upset him by coming. (comma after 'status')
there were pictures to share and the room began to be filled with laughter." (comma after 'share' and not sure why the quotation marks are there.)

YOUR REVIEW WAS SO HELPFUL. THANK YOU.

This is a heartwarming story or anger, forgiveness, love, and peace. It is the perfect Father's Day story about a family coming together, thanks to your work and insight.
My suggestion for more succinct writing. Reduce the number of times you use the word "that." Most times it is unnecessary and once removed, does not change the meaning of a sentence.
It was apparent that Randy had some unfinished business that he had to deal with. (This sentence is unnecessary since you have the next sentence)
The staff knew that he had some unfinished business that he had to deal with.

This was a very touching story. It is sad when people let things come between them and those they love. I've never thought of death in turns of a good death but as a hospice worker, you would. I am glad that your action was able to bring a degree of peace to this father.

THANK YOU, BETH, FOR YOUR REVIEW.

This was a great heartwarming story and one that could most certainly be true, yet it bothers me when people are near death suddenly they want to go with a clear conscious and be forgiven, despite the havoc and misery they caused in peoples lives.

Joann, your review left me speechless. I have not encountered anyone who was bothered about a father and daughter's story of forgiveness being bothersome.
