Hi Ginda,
This is a beautiful piece of artwork that shows the legacy of the gardener's work. The irises bring on memory of the lost loved one.
Congrats on the honorable mention in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Have a great day.

Thank you, Joan, for your review and good wishes for my honorable mention. I appreciate both.

There is a quiet beauty in this outstanding write, an acceptance of the cycle of life, that perhaps didn't fully register with our hardworking contest committee. What more fitting testimonial for a life lost than the resurrection of flowers that bloom from bulbs buried in the dark earth?
Congratulations on the honourable mention.
Blessings, Julia

Those bitter tears of sorrow among the irises got to me and then because of them the Irises bloom. This is a very touching poem. Thank you for sharing this entry with us. I enjoyed reading and wish you luck with the contest.

Barbara, you are always so kind with your reviews and I appreciate your words of encouragement.

This is a neat 5 line poem. It seems to be saying sorrow won't last forever and some good can come out of it in the end. There is nothing much prettier than a field of purple iris.

True, sadness eventually eases and happiness blooms.

A wonderful poem written with zen style. I love the words imagery and the juxtaposition of tears and watering the soil. Good luck.
Well done

-Very nice painting and presentation, Ginda.
-You wrote a very good poem about it.
-The syllable count is good, along with the topic.
-Very good opening lines show that she
had been "watering the earth."
-But the water came from her tears,
and "Irises now bloom."
-Very well done; good luck in the contest.

How beautiful. Very moving! I like the thought that something beautiful and comforting can rise from the depths of grief. Your painting and presentation are both beautiful. Lovely work.

Lovey! I like this succinct take on sad things turning into a brighter future. I think your word choice is strong. The picture you paint is clear and vibrant.

Yes, with time sadness does ease, and happiness, like irises, bloom in its place. Thanks for reviewing.
