This is a sad state of affairs if you have to ask about the state of your love being recently married. But it can happen for all the countless reasons too many to list. As a senryu poem you have done a good job. All the best for the contest.

This is a good question and one that needs to be asked. But tied tight is a tongue twister that doesn't flow well because of this alliterative phrase. I love alliteration done in moderation but this is over the top. Otherwise, this is well-written and has a good chance at the contest.

Sensitive souls give so much and sometimes they receive nothing but shards of love. I pray that everyone receives love even when I don't. A shard is still something to work with.

That's an interesting question. I have seen it go both ways. My friend in France say that they only get married if they want to have children. She was shocked that a couple got divorced because one didn't want children. I think commitment should really be there before "tying the knot."
