The description of the rain braiding trails down the window pane is fresh and a new way of describing rain that trickles ever so slowly. I love the illustration of the cat cocking its head to one side as if it has never witnessed this before :-)

The amusement of the cat gives the poem a lively ending. Just how long does it watch the rain, I wonder? It seems as if it could quite happily go on for hours.
