Your poem highlights the quietness of mind which is reached when engaging in meditation. Here, it is the aspect of being still that is seen as important in guiding introspection. Coupled with the scenery in the image, your words invoke peace and tranquility, which is often evident in your writing.

This 5-7-5, Stillness Meditates, has the proper formatting and takes the values of meditation to the readers as the total inner look in the absence of distractions.

Very deep for so few words. I had to re-read it a couple of times in order to get the feeling from it. A calming sensation in this poem. Great job, good luck.

A beautiful poem. The words you have chosen are very appropriate. The words echo the thoughts being expressed. Very well written. I wish you the very best in the contest.
With kind regards

I like the way the poem personifies "stillness" and "introspection." I counted 5 syllables in the first line, 7 syllables in the second line, and 7 syllables in the last line. The prompt says the final line "will have 5 again." But I think it's a lovely poem.

Aiona,
Thank you for your review. I note the error in the syllable count and revised the 3rd line to 5 syllables per the contest requirements.
All the best,

Oh wow! I re-read the revised version, and I didn't think it could get prettier, but it did! Stillness is still personified, which is nice. I like the "reflections." It's a double entendre!

An insight into peace and serenity in amidst the stillness of nature, which definitely invites meditation and introspection when one considers its splendour and grandeur. Well said. Best wishes for your entry.
