I like how you connected every line - the term is enjambment. You didn't start with the subject but let it go to the very end so you could naturally achieve this acrostic. Great job! Yes, we need to humble ourselves to enter into the Lord's presence!

I didn't know my "connection" had a name. I've been looking for a poetry workbook/ instruction book online, like a compilation of all styles of poetry and I don't see anything out there. I bought a Mary Oliver book, but it's very short.
I can learn on here if I jump around a lot or take notes as I review, I guess.
Any ideas?

For the poetic forms just join the Put Pen to Paper club. We get a new form to try each week. As for poetic devices, there are oodles of sites. Just Google poetic devices
