Interesting flash, and the ending was unexpected, but so was not having the nephew's name or Mary not bothering to read the postcard before destroying it. But that would've ruined the surprise ending.

Oh dear! Mind you I did wonder why the nephew sent it to her. Was he inviting her to visit Egypt to join the hunt? If so, all is well. He'd have another copy.
