I really like the image your words portray of the moonlight reflecting off the raindrops, another wonderful example of the haiku form, very well written and presented****kahpot

not sure about using "drop" twice

after the rain
drops slide off tree leaves
inside the rainfall--
a full moon

eh... just a thought lol

still a great modern 4-line haiku
with nice imagery of the moon within a raindrop

thank you for sharing
shelley :)

Rain is essential for plants and animals to survive. I love the image of the moon inside each raindrop. Thank you for sharing this beautiful presentation with us.

Zen monks were the original Haiku poets. Zen philosophy is that everything in the universe is connected-- nature and people. The literal meaning is that the moon is reflected on each drop of rain but at a deeper level, the raindrop and and the moon are one.

I appreciate your curiosity and interest in haiku, it's one of my favorite types of poetry, tanka is another one of my favorites.

I dare say these raindrops quench the thirst of many insects as well as plants and flowers. I like the thought of each raindrop being a full moon, very inventive, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

It's cool how much can be reflected in a single raindrop. I enjoyed the way your poem describes the raindrops on a full moon night. Interesting to see a four line haiku - I guess modern ones can do that.

Yes, with contemporary Haiku, the rule is 17 syllables or less, one to four lines.

Thank you very much, big sister.
