I thought this was well written and interesting. Your portrayal of the mysterious old man is so interesting. You build intrigue around him. His ever-changing appearance kept me engaged in the story and I was eager to learn more about him. The stories of the three visitors are interesting and well written. Each character's struggles and secrets add depth to the story. The revelation of the hidden compartment was very interesting. This was very enjoyable!

What an interesting, creative entry for the prompt. You told it well (had a noir feel to it) and what a twist at the end. Made me want to hear more. (I probably would have looked through all the papers. Haha!) Very well done!
