If it wasn't for The Stranger, another entry in this contest you would have a grand chance of winning. I loved the tempo of the story, and the self abasement fits many authors to a tee. Hope the story isn't real but if so believe they'll be someone else to step in and appreciate what the abandee left behind.

A great first sentence and thereafter a very vivid description of how exactly that position might look. This captures humour, albeit self-deprecatingly, of a situation which is paradoxically far from funny. The flash is well expressed and structured and leaves the reader with a smile on their face which is always a good outcome! Well done and good luck! Debbie

I like this kind of wry satire. This poor clutz finds himself literally without a chair to sit in, yet needing to get his thoughts out of his head. How inspirational will sitting in a sink be? We are rooting for him, hoping the words will flow and he will find a publisher. Rod
