This setting with the swans gliding gracefully would certainly inspire not only creativity but a sense of the beauty of nature and her creatures we share our lives with. Nice one Kim.

Yet another poetic form! Thanks for sharing and I love your picture. We have geese and ducks but no swans here. I especially liked "lines of geese add to my poetry."

    Hi Helen! We are so fortunate to have a bird sanctuary here in Fairbanks! And it is right down the road from my work, too!

I love the picture you took and I enjoyed the scene your poem describes. Good use of alliteration in "ducks diving downwards" Nice imagery
throughout. The scene fill the reader with peace.

This is a fun format which you seem to have mastered well in this evocative little six-line verse. The scene is skilfully and invitingly captured and I can think of nothing better than to have lunch there in the sunshine, especially with the cranes on their way! Well done! Debbie
