If you are going to clone people with an Xeroxinator perhaps doing so "when no one is looking" is the way to go.
Structurally, the poetry's format meets the contest requirements.
The flick known as The Thing became a Horror genre Classic and featured an extremely hostile ET that could assimilate life forms in order to survive and prosper.
Good choice of movie to pen this ABC poem about.

Love this movie. I need to watch it again and soon. I remember the ending was so utterly tense. It can produce an endless thought vortex where every and any possibility could actually be the reality of the situation. What a beautifully constructed movie and such a thriller too. Thanks for reminding me about this

It is hard to find words that vividly tell your story and stay within the ABC poem requirements, You did a great job in achieving just that.
I had to Google Xeroxinator... the creating of clones... and that fills in and explains your poem very nicely!
