I like the way you think. Zombies... I think they are coming back in style. The media consumes our brains, the computers our time. Sometimes I wonder what it is all about anymore. Esther

I'm in awe at the people who really believe in politicians. I think Washington, Hamilton, Jefferson and Franklin are probably dumbstruck at what's happened to this place. Sad to see it falling apart. Thank you so much, Esther. Gretchen

I like the interpretation you gave to the contest prompt. The picture you chose to pair with the poem gives it a deeper layer which I find interesting.

Best of luck with the contest.

Yeah, can't say I disagree except I think your money is more tasty to them... :-) Thank you so much for sharing your 5-7-5 take on this 'unique' prompt and best of luck to you in the contest!

When it comes to Politics, you have to keep up, otherwise you are lost and soon become out of touch. Political situations change by the minute, I enjoyed your fine post, love Dolly x x x

This humorous poem cleverly contrasts the serious setting of Congress in session with the whimsical idea of craving brains. The unexpected pairing of these elements creates a playful and entertaining tone. The simplicity and conciseness of the writing make it easy to read and enjoy.

You may, I think you nailed this one. Congress really is a zombie apocalyptic wasteland of lost thought. A congresswoman just stated that we are going to live in the gas made moon but not on the sun because it may be too hot. Holy farts. It is like Clock Work Orange. Pandemonium.

I think we are on the fast track decline!

Really tell me more. Why do they want to consume your brain? I imagine if they wanted to consume your bread it must have the answer to everything because they really need answers in Congress. I like how your poem was presented. I truly don't think that we need anarchy in our Congress though; that's where we differ. We need solutions. We need to communicate. We need to make things better, together. United.

Peace,

Alex

Congress and the news media DO consume many people's brain. Many listen to opinions and whatever is reported, without ever independently thinking. You've creatively captured the scary process in poetry.

Your artwork looks like Philadelphia, PA, after an alien takeover...the town I grew up in. Best wishes in the contest.
