Nice thought, though I do not know if I agree. The trouble with these little poems is that you really have no ability to flesh out an idea. You did not say in author notes where this picture came from. Karen :-)

I can relate to your important poem. It is well written and tells a story that we can all understand. Within us are very good things, for the most part. Whenever we get to the hearts and minds of people, we can see their best if we try.

I am not sure how to read this. In our heart's that is a possessive 's' but minds is plural. No I am not quite getting it, did you mean Hearts and Minds. That is easier to understand. I struggle with apostrophes especially its and it's. Good luck in the contest.

For a one line poem, this is great. It is a great reminder for the dark days and fully rings true. It says a lot in so little and I think it was well executed. Good luck in the contest.
