Ciao !
You now have two votes.

As soon as I read this this entry I was sure you were back posting.

The poem has a lot going for it.

The topic I find very interesting , it amazes me that these hot springs spout out water and steam at timed intervals.

The word stream / steam and the option.. that is something you have offered before and I found it creative.

The awesome closing line describes the uniqueness of geysers : they have a built in timer and burst at every so many hours ..

I read not to long ago that a tourist was blasted by one . Not sure if the accident was due to a daredevil tourist or the warning system suffered a glitch.

Are you giving us a choice of two words in your second line here? Very clever and I enjoyed this unique post for the contest and wish you luck, love Dolly x x x x

    Dolly,

Both apply (-; choose the one that fits your moment. Thanks for your perk at my post.

An interesting approach to this prompt for a 5-7-5 poem.
I wonder about the use of 'scripted' though. How is a geyser scripted?
I like the use of 'st(r)eam' as it gets so much more out of the word and circumvents to word limit in a creative way.

Thanks for your spin on my st(r)eam.

For scripted, it was my attempt to inform the reader that the water shooting out of Old Faithful does not happen at exactly the same time. It is about an hour plus. However, the Park has sensors that indicate the approximate time of eruption. If my memory serves correctly (my one time visit 40+ years ago), they have an indicator clock that shows the expected time.
