I love this snippet of a lot of people's real life. Many of the college students I teach talk about their academic lives before they had a learning disorder diagnosed. You captured so well the moment we make sense of ourselves.

I liked reading this. It made me stop and think if some students in class are being quiet because of something interfering with their ability to participate fully.
Little fix:
Know one knew I could not see
