This was a great four line poem. It's wonderful that something as innocent as holding hands can shift the earth. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Beautiful one!, this states subtly how important you sensed this relationship would become. I enjoyed the earthquake imagery a lot. Well done.

Awww, what a sweet memory! I like the picture, and it's perfect for your words. I'm glad you entered this in the four-line poem contest, as well as your book. Hope it does well. Blessings. Carol

It sounds like the addressee was the one for this poet! It reminds me of the Carole King song "I feel the earth move under my feet..." Best wishes in the contest!
One suggestion:
before the earth shifted beneath my feet. (remove "the" or reduce the syllable count some other way to make it 9 syllables)

Thanks so much for catching the extra syllable. I have made the correction.

This is so beautifully written. I like the earth shifting analogy. It adds strength and shows the tremendous impact she get from the first handshake. Nicely portrayed

Good luck in the Four Line Poetry Contest.

I know people want fixes and corrections, but I saw nothing wrong here. Perfect.

Feeling the power of love with just a touch is very special. It's what happens next. What a wonderfully written poem that captures this feeling. Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day, and God bless.

This is fantastic, my friend, and in a most difficult form too. I felt the same about my husband. Still do. Sending you my best today as always, and my very best wishes for the upcoming contest.

Sally, we must be cut from the same fabric, as they say. You always seem to understand the deeper meaning behind my poems. Thank you.
