You have such an amazing gift of taking me to someplace I've never been or to a forgotten place of long ago. One of your best yet, Judy Justine, Turnstile No. 602!
Fabulous!
Sending you my best today as always,

I do not know if you did this intentionally but it reminded me of a famous poem The Night Train by W.H. Auden. He wrote it to the beat of a steam train on the track. As I read your poem I also found it to sound like a train going over tracks. Quite fitting really.

No I did not know about that poem.

I also wrote a poem about things from the train conductors viewpoint; I can remember the name I called it.

I write the metre according to whatever beat I here in my head. I'm a musician so it's not really hard to do

My other poem is called "The Motorman". It's pretty nice. Go to the letter T for The in my portfolio. It's in alphabetical order except for a bunch of poems at the beginning of the portfolio ( so messed up)

Do you know the Arlo Guthrie song " City of New Orleans". It is a great train song that is really like a poem

Clever and with a nice rhyme and meter. The topic is spot on and allows the reader to easily imagine the scene at Turnstile No 602. Thanks for sharing and make sure you take care.
Regards
Barry Penfold.
