Eerie, icky, and fascinating horror in this chapter. Creepy, tense, and disgusting details definitely keep the reader reading. I think the dialogue sounds natural. The only thing I am kind of feeling skittish about is why a candle would keep burning. Maybe add the size. A very little candle would have burned out and melted, unless Lilith had left just a minute before to leave that abandoned building behind. Which, of course, would mean the next chapter will probably include a startling re-entry, perhaps.

Goodness, Doug, you can really stir up an atmosphere of quite chilling horror in an instant. This was really creepy: the smell, the blood stains, the tee-shirts. And unexpected, given that this now looks to be Lilith's lair. As ever, good pace to your plot and excellent dialogue.

Karen, I know that we are friends. Good ones. But if you don?t like my book you have no obligatory ?friendship? requirement to read this. I have plenty of people who are really into this story (Is five considered plenty? Ha!)
Seriously, I do not want you reading something you do not enjoy out of necessity. Skip this one. Catch the next book. I will not be upset or have bad feelings about that.

Sometimes I wonder if the free wheeling Greg will survive, he always seems to be on his own, and could it be that some cops don't like the slow moving and cautious ways of the police in general, won't cut corners. Will he ever trick and corner Lilith? Well done Douglas, blessings Roy

Once again, a really good write. I enjoyed reading about Greg. He's such a great character. He just stepped into this one but doesn't usually happen that way? I was worried for him as they got closer to the gym. You did a great job writing the suspense.
