Then again, he probably was a dick...lol! What a great write and enjoyably readable (hope that makes sense!)... sure missed your lovely presence, Red! I think we all have these interactions that are probably best left on the cutting floor of time, yeah? :-) But, they all play a role in who we are today... funny how the eclipse led you to that: definitely not dark although I'll definitely go with 'cringe'... :-) :-)
Well-written, Red -- and thanx for sharing, my lady!!

Hahaha! Yes, definitely more light-hearted than dark...but definitely cringe-worthy, too. You are seriously right about that. Thanks for the warm and understanding review. Great to have you back. xo

That was so funny, Rachelle, I had a friend called Willy, it embarrassed the life out of me just to say his name! Can you imagine calling across the crouded room, 'Willy!' I'm very sensitive when it comes to names. Lol.

What memories you have stirred up, some not so funny! This was such a fun read, and I'm not surprised you oggled the Dick! LOL!!! Well done, my friend. Loved this. :)) Sandra xx

Still not sure about the eclipse reference, but I have been in that situation myself. Lucky for me I was in a crowd of friends at the time, and everyone was laughing, so I was able to turn the tide around, and see how far I could take it. I finally said I can't think of anymore. Everyone started yelling out stuff, and I scooted out. This was great fun for me to read. Karen

PS - Because you're so smart, I just know you'll get this, K: The eclipse reference was about the light side and dark side of everything, and that even included tenacity. We've been conditioned to think of it as always a good thing, but when it came to my Dick faux pas, tenacity was what made me keep making it worse. Did that help explain it more clearly?

I got that premise. Thank you.

Oh, good. Because you said you didn't understand the eclipse reference. It was light side/dark side of the issue.

Ah Dear Rachelle((((((...
thank you so much for this hearty stomach laugh I found myself indulged in... and try as I did to curb it, it only became a joining in of my entire torso.

You funny-clever lady... and as l have read; no Dicks were really hurt in the making-forming and molding of this story, so no foul, no harm. Well, maybe an ego or two?

So entertaining Rachelle... I really don't know how to review this. Only to say thank you, I needed this laugh badly!

Brilliant!

With our thoughts we create...
bilateral points of view.

Warmest regards,
James.

Oh I think most of us can relate to this..it was easy to make blunders back then, but I know I've done it all my life and still do It occasionally. I'm not beyond admitting to it. I really enjoyed reading. Ulla xcx

Lordy Rache, I needed a laugh. This was funny and so well organized and worded. You took the "Dick" pun to an entirely another level with humor, and skill. All of the honors bestowed upon you are rightfully deserved. I loved this piece because it is cleverly raunchy fun!

This brings back memories of those first awkward days of college. You, however, came up with one (I was so innocent then) that I would not have seen the joke, just the awkward mouth not catching up with the brain. Well told and very amusing.

I think most of us can relate to your tale of awkward words as a young college student. Many of us have made verbal blunders in our youth. I like your mention of the eclipse and how there is two sides to everything. Your essay is well written and holds the reader's interest.

OMG. You have just given me one of the most enjoyable reads ever! Talk about stepping in it and making the hole even bigger, you just kept right on stepping in it didn't you? I would have paid money to see this played out in real time. If I were a comedy writer on some TV show or even a movie set, I would find a way to include this hilarious interchange. Of all times to be out of sixes, mam oh man.

This review is worth its weight in gold. Who needs sixes in lieu of that? Thank you, Nomi; it was QUITE the start to my college experience!! xoxo

Oh my gosh, what a hilarious, well written story, Rachelle.
I love the lighthearted way you dealt with the situation. You couldn't have come up with more jokes on purpose than you did as a poor, serious Freshman. I'd say it's all his fault. He should have gone with Rick!!

Great job,
Take care,
Rhonda
