I think this is the most heart-warming piece I've read today, kahpot. It's always beautiful to read a piece where a child has overcome his affliction and lives through the eyes of others.

Your words remind the reader of the impact of music on all. Even the deaf feel the rhythm and beat of music. Excellent theme for a poem that shows how music is for everyone.

They will often feel the beat through their feet on floorboards as well. A good reminder that one need never be limited by a disability or handicap if it is possible to "find another way" to experience life in its fulness.

I know that deaf people can certainly perceive a beat, because like the bass, is felt before even the hearing person hears them.this is beautifully written Kahpot. Beautifully written , blessings Roy

Of course it matters if a child was born deaf or became deaf after having heard sounds for some period of time in their life.

You have however captured the essence of "hearing" when you cannot hear.

I have "heard" that deaf people can have a great sense of rhythm and dance even not hearing the music. I like that this deaf person dances and "hears" the music of joy in people's hearts and smiles.
