Ciao!

I love old films because visually in black and white everything seems far more intense, especially drama scenes.

The eclipse, from daylight to darkness within minutes, must have been an intense experience, even disturbing /eerie I would say for those watching it live.

It will certainly be an event that they will remember for the rest of their lives.

I think your poem captured well the dark atmospheric element.

    Thanks for your review and stars. My location only saw the sky get gray and eerie looking and the temps dropped a bit. Only a 100+ kilometers away it got to be completely black for 3-4 minutes.

This is a very well written 5-7-5 poem you have penned about the eclipse. You used great descriptive words and very good imagery from the art work you chose. Best wishes in the contest! Teri

An excellent entry for the 5-7-5 writing prompt. I enjoyed the picture you painted with your word. The photo you chose is perfect for the poem. Thank you for sharing. Good luck in the contest.

That is lovely, I was unaware of this happening, was it in america? I guess you will have the voters queuing up to click on this on really good work. Better than writing about a storm :(

    Yes, it did occur in the US.
    The band of totality started in Mexico and ended in Newfoundland, Canada.

    My location was near enough that the skies darkened and the temps cooled about 3:30 p.m. It was eerie. Do check out the images in your web search.

    Storms and stormy weather have actually been included in my FS previous posts (-;
