I think a lot of us here can relate. We struggle with ideas and suddenly, out of no where a speck of an idea grows into a story or a poem.Loved your poem. Wonderful imagery and strong rhyme carry it along.

I get writers block too. The last time was back in 2018 and it lasted until 2021. Didn't really write anything. I'm happy my muse returned. Gretchen

Time for confession. I had no idea as to what this image represented. Then I asked the one who knows everything, the wife. She replied instantly, pencils. It was so obvious. The poem's message became obvious. Guess it proves her pet theory. Men really are useless creatures.
