Hi Melissa,
I didn't get to experience the eclipse because it was raining here and I was working. But it would be eerie for it to be dark mid-day without the threat of rain.

This poem was beautifully written to describe the amazing total solar eclipse in the sky. I like all the alliteration the author used and the rhyming sounds very natural and humorous.

I have been trying to get caught up on some reviewing and I am glad I did not miss yours. Your marvel at seeing the eclipse easily comes through and the event definitely is a lifetime memory! This is an excellent poem sharing the experience.

Good to know someone saw the moon and the sun come together, Melissa. :) It's not every day they have a chance to make out over everybody's eyes. :) Yet, it got dark down here in Texas the clouds hid their loving. :( Thanks for sharing.

I missed the eclipse but my grandson watched it while at school, he told me all about it. LoL. It's a rare and mystical occurrence. Your poem goes well with the eclipse. Well done

To me, events like this support my belief. There simply must be a creator, one who is so amazingly clever. I sometimes wonder, why would someone so clever stuff up his resume by producing something as flawed as Mankind?

This is a great description of the sight and the feel of the Solar eclipse in your poem and also I found your notes interesting. That the dogs stopped barking, they too recognising the eeriness of the momentary darkness. Well done, Melissa.

I saw the eclipse too. It was awesome. Never seen anything like it. Very good poem. What I noticed in PA. Were the birds seem to be acting a little weird. It was kind of creepy. Nice rhymes
