Exceptional

Very clever getting the repetition in the final stanza, and also clever use of "impatients" as a noun. I don't know much about Alaska, but this has definitely given me a respect for your weather. And to think Tasmania has a reputation for being cold!

    Hi Sally!

Thank you for this exceptional rating and delightful review. I'm ready for the snow to melt! Our seasons are June, July, August, and winter! lol

Sounds like wise advice to me! And that goes for here as well even though we don't have near the snow and ice that you have to contend with. Still, we need to be patient and let those impatient ones speed by.

    Hi Helen!
I am glad you could relate to this one. One day the Impatients will learn, I hope!

Kim, how great to see you again, and in charge of the NaPo project. You are going along at a fine pace.

I chuckled all the way through your Dandizette and decided it was far too complicated to attempt, but the insight about brakes not being your friend, and the Impatients, a breed of highway drivers, I understood perfectly.

Very well done. :)

I've driven in the snow in chains when we were holidaying in the snow district in Australia, where I drove with chains, but it doesn't really snow, here, but nevertheless less, when roads are slippery special brake systems are needed, beautifully written, blessings Roy
Typo : Just let (impatients) pass. Impatience?

    Hi Roy!
Impatients = drivers who won't slow down for the conditions.

Thank you for a grand review.

I liked this. First, I had to look up the word 'discommode'. That was a new one for me and I've been writing for a long time *grin*. Second, the word 'Impatients' stumped me for a bit. I 'assume' you mean impatient drivers. When that revelation came to me, a smiled out loud. Ok, I'm not from Alaska. I lived in Ohio many years... truth is truth. Brakes are NOT your friend and people who are "Impatients" will pay for that impatience *snicker*. Still pondering the "Snow butts" though. I live in GA now. I do NOT miss the snow in any way, shape or form! Oh yes... I LOVE the line "With patience wisdom grows." One skid on black ice changes one's perspective on patience forever!

    Hi Cornish Chick!

Did you have advice for improving this piece? That is usually what the 4 star good rating usually means.

Snow Butts are the very impatient drivers that speed by in uncleared lanes throwing up so much snow that the driver they passed can't see. Thank you for your detailed review.
