Dear Katharine, I'm so sorry to hear bout your dear sister and this makes me feel very guilty because I've been taking a bit of an elective break from my own sister (only sibling). I've been missing your lovely, humorous posts, always a pleasure to read. I don't know what to say anymore about US politics. The country is so divided. Thank you, Debbie!. You are truly a lovely person, always so kind.
I do miss my sister so much. We talked on the phone everyday, and I am really at a loss.
Sometimes taking a break is good. My youngest sister has disengaged herself from me and my sister who died, for years and when I called her to tell her about Pat, she immediately wanted to take charge of the funeral. Couldn't believe it.
Anyway,as to our politics, I can hardly watch the news. sometimes I don't.
BUT, I truly thank you again for your always neat responses!

A friend mentioned, rightfully I believe, that whoever wins this year, at least half of the country will be up in arms. We can't afford another four years of Uncle demented and the people who are pulling his strings. When China owns us totally, will those who sold us out be safe? They should probably consider that. There is no honor amongst thieves.

I am, too and I fear for Trump's life.
I don't think they will be safe (those who sold us out). If they can sell us out they can sell others out, too, if need be.
I started to write something funny, but there's nothing funny about what's going on.
I hope you can go on your vacation and just enjoy. You got some good music to play in the car? Don't turn on the news. :)
I hope you survive the long drives.

I hope I can enjoy myself. It's so blasted expensive to do anything. I'm not looking forward to the traffic, but as much as possible I'm going to avoid the bigger cities and go on the back roads.

might as well see the countryside when you're going on vacation - backroads are scenic - except they take longer.

Sad note. My precious sister, Pat, died last week in S.C., unexpectedly. She had a heart attack by herself on her horse farm, and had presence of mind to call 911. She's out in the country and they took soo long getting there, she had another one. She had papers saying she didn't want to be resuscitated, so she died. We usually talked every night on the phone. I really miss her.

We were only 22 months apart and very close. I always thought I'd be the first to go, being the oldest. the thing that kills me, she died by herself.

He is the destroyer of a nation! A criminal in my mind. Everything he does is for himself (power and riches) and our enemies - NOTHING for this country.
Thanks for reading Dolly. We are in a pitiful state. The judges, blue state dignitaries, the FBI and CIA are with him, also and very importantly, the press. And saddest of all, a lot of American young people who don't know what they're talking about. And the Democrats, of course.

Sorry not to be clear. Obama was a disaster President for 2 years, then he, with the help of George Soros and the World Economic Forum, and others, are putting millions in to get Biden back in office in 2024, who is an empty shell that can control- pardon - a lying empty shell, with Obama again coaching him. It is sickening.
