Hello John,
I love that scripture. It reminds me that the way I think is so far less than what God has in mind. You did a fine job on this poem. I like the message a lot. Well done. Good luck in the contest.
Have a blessed day.

Thanks Tom,
It's one of my favorite verses as well. I think God's goal is to keep giving us strength to go higher and higher. We just have to make the effort to reach up. He'll do the rest. I always appreciate your reviews and comments, my friend.

This was such a beautiful cinquain. Works that honor The Lord are always the best. I'm thankful that when my reach may not be high enough, He is willing to tike my hand and guide me.

You're right, Jim. All He wants us to do is "reach" and He'll take us to heights we never believed possible. What an amazing God we serve! Blessings to you.

Comment from Bethany Heart
Christ is always bidding us to come to Him, talk to Him, and thank Him, no matter our situation. He elevates us in our lives as we seek Him and it's never ending. The more we "reach up", the more peace and strength we have. He knows this and always wants us to "reach up" a little more. I love that this was written with such a strong message, to the point but with few words.

This is a nice poem that urges us to realize that life is made up of more than just what we see. Thank you for urging us to reach higher than ourselves and those around us.

You are most welcome. Sorry John that I'm late in responding, somehow I thought I had answered you and I missed.

I don't know the exact requirements for a cinquain poem, but this seemed to be a very good poem. I like that you chose to repeat the word "reach." Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Thank you, Jessi. The rules require the first line to be 2 syllables; the 2nd, 4:; the 3rd, 6; the 4th, 8; and the 5th, 2. I appreciate your kind words and best wishes. John
