A lovely flowing and joyful verse, heralding the arrival of Spring in your 2-4-6-8 verse, perfectly fitting the contest prompt. I don't know why but I just wanted to keep reading 'safe' arrival (I think because it tripped off the tongue better). Or Spring's sunny smile? (Just to be a little less factual, reflecting the daffodils' joliness - just a thought?) But 'sure' is fine and provides similar alliteration. Well done and good luck! Debbie.
