Very beautiful image used for your poem, all the vibrant colours used as a canvas is very pleasant to the eyes! Well done on the 575 syllable scheme, very good choice of words to paint the colours of springtime phenomenal. Good luck in the contest!

    Thanks for your kind remarks.

The contest is now concluded. I was tied with the second highest score, but actually was tied with the fourth place finishers. I feel that FanStory should not award me their monies for this placement. If it was a horse race or the Olympics, I would not have medaled. I will accept the awarded dollars for the three votes received from FanStorian voters.

This was a sweet 5-7-5 poem for the prompt. It would have been perfect for the "5-7-5 A Flower" contest, too. You got the syllable count right, and your words were lovely. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

    Jessi,

Sometimes I post too soon. Yes, I do enter contests only to hopefully earn FS monies to enter contests that require fees.

Do appreciate your support for this and other posts.

This poem gives beautiful images to the reader. It is short and sweet, and would look nice hanging on the wall. This is a perfect one for the 5-7-5 contest.

    Thanks for your compliment Jodi!

You are right that the illustration would make a nice addition to our home.

My poetry style is typically Haiku-ish.
